Oakwood Community Health for Healthier Communities

Through a variety of health screenings, immunization and education programs, and outreach strategies throughout the Oakwood service area, the Community Health department fulfills its mission to prevent disease and injury, promote healthy behaviors, and improve the quality of life in our communities.

Whether you are looking for a Car Seat Safety Check, a Flu Shot in the fall, a Cholesterol Screening, a class on Nutrition or Diabetes, or a variety of other services, you can find a Community Health program near you by visiting Classes and Events on the Oakwood Web site or by calling the Oakwood Health Line at 800.543.WELL.

Many services are also provided in community-based locations in collaboration with partners such as physicians, schools, senior centers, faith-based organizations, community agencies, and service organizations. To schedule a program or speaker for a community organization, please call Oakwood Community Health 313.586.4938.
