Thyroidectomy
In February 2010, Oakwood was the first site in Michigan to use a surgical robot to remove a patient’s thyroid. Dr. Ho-Sheng Lin performed that surgery, and he is here today to share that experience and talk about why robot-assisted surgery may be right for this and other medical issues involving the ear, nose and throat. Dr. Lin is an Oakwood-affiliated otolaryngologist with offices in Dearborn, Southfield and Detroit. He is also an associate professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine.
