After Hours Instructions
The office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. We offer limited cardiovascular services on Saturday including our Coumadin Clinic, Pacemaker Follow Up Clinic, and vascular testing. When our office is closed, we have a 24 hour answering service which is reached through our regular telephone number (734) 675-2220. They will contact the physician on-call. Please limit these to urgent matters. When you reach the physician, he will not be in the office and will not have access to your chart or to the computer. Therefore, we cannot refill prescriptions or schedule appointments on the weekends. If you are having an emergency, the best thing to do is get to the hospital ASAP. Please call 911 immediately.
Office Policies
Please be sure when you do come into our office for your appointments that you tell our front desk if you have any changes in Insurance or any other information so that we may expedite your claim without any delays.
In order to help maintain healthcare costs, we need your help in providing payment at the time services are rendered. You can offer your copay at the time you register or as you leave the office. Patients who have an outstanding balance are asked to pay that at the time of the visit, or to arrange a payment plan with a member of our billing staff.
What To Expect
Communication
When you are seen in the office, it is a tremendous help if you could bring records with you from any previous cardiac evaluation, a recent hospitalization, or recent testing. If you have family members who can help with your story, or people who want to be part of our discussion at the end of the visit when we present our recommendations, they are always welcome. Every time we see you, we send a written report to your primary care doctor and any other specialists you might designate.
We use a team approach to providing healthcare. Modern medicine is so complicated and there are so many aspects to each person’s care, that no one individual can be responsible for everything. Information about you may be collected by our front desk, our medical assistant, registered nurse, physician assistant, cardiology fellow, or the cardiologist. All of that material is then assembled into your chart for future reference. Please work with us to make this information colle
