Robotic Gall Bladder Surgery
In the 1930s, gall bladder surgery would leave an abdominal scar several inches long. By the 1990s the scars were smaller but still very visible. Now, thanks to surgeons using robotic technology, gall bladder removal can be done through the navel through an incision no bigger than a paper clip. We welcome Dr. Mehran Mirkazemi to Champions of Care. He is an Oakwood-affiliated general surgeon based in Dearborn. He's joined by Krista, his patient who recently had robotic gall bladder surgery.
