Oakwood releases statement following Supreme Court decision on healthcare act

The Supreme Court’s decision to maintain the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will not change Oakwood’s approach to providing health care, according to Oakwood President & CEO Brian Connolly.

Connolly, among the first regional healthcare CEOs to be interviewed following the release of the Supreme Court decision on June 28, had this to say:

" We will continue to push forward with major innovations in quality and value, and our Credo, “Patients Come First,” will always drive our business decisions and actions. We’ve been developing and adopting the best methods for providing improved quality, greater value and compassionate care for several years now. We plan to move forward with those initiatives regardless of today’s decision not only because it’s who we are as a healthcare provider, but because it’s the right thing to do.

“Health care will always be an industry driven by change. Innovations in care delivery respond to the evolving needs of our patients and our communities. Oakwood’s business decisions will continue to uphold our ongoing commitment to serving our patients.”
