Bursitis is a painful inflammation usually associated with over stressing or repetitive use of the areas around your joints. Bursitis can also be caused by direct trauma or infection. Bursitis is most commonly found in the shoulder, elbow or hip but can also occur in other joint areas as well. Bursitis pain usually goes away within a week or so with proper treatment.
- Dull ache or stiffness in the joint area
- Pain associated with movement
- Skin around joint warm to touch
- Occasional redness in joint area
