Humanism in Medicine
Throughout his career Oakwood-affiliated dermatologist Dr. Thomas P. Waldinger has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to the enrichment of the lives of his patients. The Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award was created to honor physicians like him, whose practice of patient care goes far above and beyond what most would call a good bedside manner. Recently Dr. Waldinger traveled to San Diego to accept this award, presented by the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Waldinger was on the line with us to talk about the philosophy of medicine that has led to this award.
