Concentrated Care Area
For individuals who have Alzheimer’s Disease, confusion, or advanced memory loss, we offer the Concentrated Care Area. In this special area, our staff works closely with each participant to plan programs and activities adapted to enhance health and life satisfaction.
A special component of the Adult Day Care Center is our nationally renowned Intergenerational Program. Oakwood became one of the first in the country to bring children and older adults together on a regular basis when the center opened a child day care program. Activities for the children and older adults are carefully planned, and include cooking, games, arts and crafts, exercising, modified sports and parties.
Specially Designed Facilities
At the Adult Day Care Center, our facilities and amenities are designed especially for adults with healthcare needs. We have a 50-inch television to assist visually impaired adults and a kitchen adapted for wheelchair access.
