Common Health Tests For Women

Preventative Maintenance Guide for Women

It is recommended that all women should have a regularly scheduled routine check-up at least once a year that includes a thorough history and physical examination to identify your individual risk factors. Your physician should be aware of your health history to determine which tests and screenings are appropriate for you.  Your physician will discuss the following with you during your initial examination:

  • Family history
  • Diet history
  • Smoking history
  • Alcohol/drug use history
  • Sexual history
  • Work-exposure history
  • Previous history of certain health problems
  • Mental health history

Review and print a preventative maintenance guide of common health tests for women between the ages of 18 to 60+ years. This guide can be used as a checklist when discussing your health care needs with your provider.  This is a preventative maintenance guide and should not replace your provider's professional advice.  The frequency of the screening test may vary based on your individual health assessments.
