Genetic Counseling Staff

Oakwood's genetic counselors provide reproductive and cancer genetic education. The genetic counselors work with couples one-on-one, explaining the possibility or presence of genetic conditions and/or birth defects in a current or future pregnancy. The genetic counselors also work with the patient and families with a history of cancer, explaining the risks of cancer as well as the available cancer screening and prevention options. The genetic counseling staff will work closely with your physicians, offering guidance and support through the decision-making process.
