Oakwood, Wayne State University Physician Group, welcome new radiation oncologist


Swati Dutta, M.D, a radiation oncologist, has joined Oakwood Healthcare, Inc. (OHI) and the Wayne State University Physician Group (WSUPG). Dutta, an Ann Arbor resident, will hold office hours at Oakwood Hospital & Medical Center in Dearborn and at the Oakwood Healthcare Center--Southgate.

Dr. Dutta earned her Bachelor of Science and doctorate at the University of Michigan. She interned at the Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL and completed her residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL, where she was the chief resident in the radiation oncology department. Dr. Dutta comes to OHI and WSUPG after working for 14 years as a radiation oncologist at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital (SJMH) in Ann Arbor. She has extensive experience in Cyberknife treatment modality.

Dr. Dutta served on the Breast Advisory Committee at SJMH as well as on the Continuing Medical Education Committee and the Quality Assurance Committee, Department of Radiation Oncology. She also served as the president and treasurer of the Huron River Radiation Oncology Specialists, P.C. and as a clinical champion for the Michigan Radiation Oncology Quality Consortium.

She is a member of the American Medical Association, the Michigan State Medical Society, the Michigan Society of Therapeutic Radiology and the Washtenaw County Medical Society. She is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
