Oakwood Hospital - Taylor Rehabilitation Therapy Department assists patients with initiating upper and lower extremity custom and off-the-shelf orthoses, spinal orthoses and prostheses fittings, in addition to managing follow-up care. Our skilled team of clinicians strives to improve the lives of patients who have lost a limb or suffered a debilitating injury or disease.

Overview

The O&P Clinic offers comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic services including, but not limited to, the following

  • Comprehensive evaluation by a physical medicine physician; additional clinical team consists of physical medicine resident, orthotist, prosthetist, occupational/physical therapist
  • Consultation and evaluation of each patient’s needs, such as lower extremity disturbance related to walking, or upper extremity disturbances related to grasping and spinal alignment
  • Custom made and custom fit orthotic and prosthetic devices for the feet, ankles, knees, legs, hips, lower back, upper back, neck, hands, wrist, elbow, shoulders and head
  • On-site physical therapist
